About Sycamore
Sycamore helps high-capacity leaders cultivate clarity, healthy rhythms, strong family and friendships, and a grounded vision for life and leadership. Anchored in a Christ-centered foundation and shaped by a "resume and eulogy virtues" framework, participants are invited to nourish healthy ambition, connect spiritually, grow in character and integrity, and build well-rooted foundations in the areas of life that matter most.
Professional relationships may develop along the way, but the deeper goal is becoming healthier human beings while continuing to lead, influence, and contribute at a high level.

How It Works
Sycamore brings together Christian men who have been given the gift of professional success and want to succeed personally as well.
Participants include founders, CEOs and senior executives, physicians, attorneys, investors, public servants, educators, creatives, nonprofit leaders, and athletes.
Each cohort of 8–10 men meets once a month for four hours of curated learning, guided conversation, and peer connection around the themes that shape a meaningful life: healthy ambition, character and integrity, marriage and family, faith and work, and friendship and community. Optional social gatherings, fireside conversations, and cross-cohort events are also offered throughout the year.
Applications for 2026–2027 are now open. Financial details are included in the application.
Name and Meaning
The name "Sycamore" is inspired by Zacchaeus, a public figure in the Bible whose title began with the word "Chief." Though outwardly successful, he sensed there must be more to life than power, wealth, and prestige, and he began searching for something deeper.
Jesus noticed him perched alone on a sycamore branch above the crowd, called him by name, entered his home, surrounded him with friends, and inspired him to live and lead with greater purpose, integrity, and meaning.

“Sycamore has been a wonderful space to grow. Connecting with like-minded men from diverse spheres of influence has been extremely valuable and enjoyable. Scott is a steady hand at the wheel, and he has done a wonderful job guiding us through life’s challenges and celebrations.”
– Film Producer
“Sycamore exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to grow in their faith and what that looks like in everyday life, especially involving leadership of self and others. The guests were great, Scott is an amazing teacher, and the group of guys I learned with and from couldn’t have been better (the food was incredible too!).”
– Professional Angler
“Through Sycamore, I’ve grown as a Christ-centered leader while forming strong relationships with other leaders pursuing the same calling. It’s challenged me to lead with humility, serve others well, and live out my faith with consistency.”
– MLB Pitcher
"Most men are 20-30 years too late in taking on the core issues that Sycamore tackles: friendship, marriage, ambition, and leading a purpose-driven life consistent with your faith and values. I believe anyone who participates in Sycamore will find it transformational in these areas."
– Multinational President/CEO
"Scott taught me to think about my death, and somehow that made me more alive to my life. The eulogy virtues work confirmed I was on the right trajectory and challenged me to turn the volume up on what I was already living. Doing that alongside other men who were pursuing the same things, guided by a man who has done the work himself, made it stick in a way it never would have alone."
– Executive Coach
“Sycamore has been a great experience – it has given me hope that the friendships I long for are really possible.”
– Founder/CEO
"Because of Sycamore, I have what I believe is a world class personal and professional board of advisors, who are also among my closest and most trusted friends."
– Founder/CEO
"As someone whose work is public, I've found something rare in Sycamore: a room full of high-achieving, influential people who have set posturing aside and show up humble and curious instead."
– Bestselling Author
"People assume nonprofit leaders have plenty of community, and in one sense we do. But being surrounded is not the same as being known. Sycamore let me take off my executive director hat so I could focus on staying honest and faithful where it counts most."
– Nonprofit Executive Director
